Why Fern & Flora
We keep them alive, so you can too
30-day happy-plant promise
If a plant sulks in its first month, bring it back. We’ll troubleshoot it or replace it, no receipt needed.
Free repotting, always
Buy a pot, and we’ll repot your plant at the bench while you browse — fresh soil included.
Actual plant advice
Tell us your light, your schedule, and how many you’ve killed. We’ll match you with something that’ll thrive.
Local delivery
Big leafy things delivered across Portland, gently boxed and watered, so nothing arrives crispy.
The studio
Grown from one very overgrown apartment.
Fern & Flora started when our founder’s one-bedroom ran out of windowsills. What began as cuttings shared with neighbours turned into a Sunday plant stall, and then this little shop on Alder Lane.
We’re not a warehouse with a checkout. Every plant is looked after by hand until it’s ready to go home, and we’d genuinely rather send you away with the right plant than an expensive one.
— Immi, founder & chief waterer

Kind words
Loved by Portland plant people
“I have killed every plant I’ve ever owned. Immi matched me with a ZZ plant and it’s been thriving for a year. A literal first.”
Cass W.
Reformed plant killer
“The free repotting had me. I came for one pothos and left with three plants and a hand-thrown pot I did not need but absolutely love.”
Theo M.
Regular (and enabler)
“Took the kokedama workshop for a first date. We’re married now. Correlation, not causation, but still — great night.”
